Vlog Fridays! First kiss

Hi everyone! I can't believe it's already time for another Vlog Friday! I love this week's prompt:

Tell us about your first kiss

As I say in the video, I going to tell you about my first kiss with my husband, because really, that's the one that counts :). Please tell me your story in the comments or link to your own vlog post on this comment!

Oh, and don't mind the little bit of bedhead that I have, I took this in the morning.

Jump over to VlogFriday organizer's blogs, Kate and Cole, for more posts!

Oh, and side note - I may be moving this blog to wordpress - would you come with me? And also, any thoughts on the blogger-wordpress decision? Anything is helpful because I am still undecided!

Vlog: What three things in your home represent YOU?

Happy Friday friends!

I love this vlog prompt: "What three things in your home represent YOU?"

I spent considerably longer deciding what to choose than it actually took to record this. I went back and forth - do I choose something from the wedding because it was so important, or do I choose something that represents my family because they are such a huge part of my identity? Something from social work because it's my life, or my favorite book because I love to read so much? Well, anyway, I didn't choose any of those things - check out my vlog to find out what I DID choose!

What three things in your home represent YOU? Please feel free to link to your vlog on this prompt in the comments as well, and tell me what you chose!

Check out Vlog of the Week organizers, Kate's and Cole's, blogs for a list of other Vlogs about this topic!

This week's vlog prompt is both Vlog of the Week and Vlog of the Month - Check out the Vlog of the Month Club here.

Good one, Mom

I don't usually have much patience for the jokes that my mom sends to my email, but I actually laughed out loud at today's email. So I thought I would share.

PSA: Not for the easily offended.

My 1 day employment

So after landing my new job as a Wal-Mart greeter, a good find for many retirees, I lasted less than a day....

About two hours into my first day on the job a very loud, unattractive, mean-acting woman walked into the store with her two kids, yelling obscenities at them all the way through the entrance.

I said pleasantly, 'Good morning and welcome to Wal-Mart. Nice children you have there. Are they twins?'

The ugly woman stopped yelling long enough to say, 'Hell no, they ain't twins. The oldest one's 9, and the other one's 7. Why the hell would you think they're twins? Are you blind, or stupid?'

So I replied, 'I'm neither blind nor stupid, Ma'am, I just couldn't believe someone slept with you twice. Have a good day and thank you for shopping at Wal-Mart.'

My supervisor said I probably wasn't cut out for this line of work

I Vlog Wii Zumba (Warning to me: this is embarrassing)

Hey friends,

So, I have been hearing a lot about Zumba lately, and I have really been wanting to try it. Unfortunately I have not been able to find any classes near me that seem to fit with my budget/schedule, so I opted for the next best thing: Zumba for Wii! There has been a lot of buzz about it, and I have been looking for something fun to do on days when I can't get to Flywheel for Barre or Spin, or my prison-gym for regular workouts or swimming (more on my workout schedule coming soon), and I picked this up. I will review it, but I made you a video as well, lest you are worried about trying it. This video is ridiculous and I can't believe I'm putting it on the internet, but well, I am. I'm sorry about the sound - if you turn up your volume, you should be able to hear the music. The video displays the first song and a half.

Disclaimer: A few things you should know about me before you see this:
  • I am not coordinated. Never have been, probably never will be. Also, I look a little bit like a monkey when I dance. I am okay with it.
  • I do not take myself very seriously.

If you watched that, I hope you were laughing with me, and not at me. And maybe it helps give you an idea of how fun it is!

An after video:

And my review:

All in a all, I would give it, from a first-timer's experience, an A-/B+. It was definitely fun, and I definitely got warm and even was sweating, but I cannot see this being the sole form of exercise and actually making a difference. Only time will tell on that point of course. For 20 minutes, it was fun, the time passed quickly, and I was definitely moving. Of Wii Fit, Wii Active and Wii Zumba, it is definitely the most fun in a silly way and I will definitely do it again. If you are on the fence, I would say go for it.

I hope this helps!

Do you Wii Zumba? Are you on the fence? What are YOUR favorite Wii Workout games? Would you post a ridiculous video like the first one on the internet :)?
